SAVE THE DATE: Creating a Scene Exhibition Launch

Corpus Slip II (2009), The Old Chapel, St John's Wood, London

Join us for the opening of an exciting new group exhibition Creating a Scene at Oriel Davies on 28 June 2014. The launch will start from 6pm and the performance Slip and Taffeta (2014) by Philip Lee and Cally Trench will take place from 7pm.

Lee and Trench will perform this newly devised work for the opening of the exhibition. A   previous work Slip Stroll was created and performed for the opening of Creating a Scene at the National Centre for Craft & Design. This exhibition is a touring exhibition from the National Centre for Craft & Design and features work by:

Edward Allington, Franko B, Ivor Beddoes, Giuseppe Belli, Julian Crouch, Richard Deacon, Hein Hecktroth, Christopher Hobbs, Howard Hodgkin, Derek Jarman, Philip Lee, Davy and Kristin McGuire, Bruce McLean, Louise Ann Wilson and Edwin Zwakman. 

The show has been curated by Jeremy Webster and Naomi Law and we are delighted to be hosting it here at Oriel Davies.

Also opening: Painting in Another Dimension, Megan Wyatt in Oriel Davies TestBed.

During the day there will be a series of talks and workshops focusing on the content and themes explored in Creating a Scene for adults and children.

Drinks and refreshments will be provided for the opening, as well as a special BBQ from our café Relish.
