RE:animate Oriel Davies Open 2010 Prizewinners!

Oriel Davies is delighted to announce the Prize Winners for its fourth biennial Open exhibition, RE:animate. Four of the thirty-nine exhibiting artists have been awarded prizes at the opening launch of the show, and were formally presented by RE:animate’s Principal Sponsor, Whittingham and Riddell.

Prizes awarded were; The Whittingham Riddell 1st Prize of £1000 for overall winner went to Pia Borg who is an artist filmmaker based in London; a Student 1st Prize of £500 was awarded to Sibyl Montague, a student also based in London. Both these artists have been offered a solo show at Oriel Davies during summer 2011. John R. Burns, who is from Coventry, was awarded the overall 2nd Prize of £500 while London-based Savinder Bual has been presented with £250 for winning the Student 2nd Prize.

The People's Choice Prize of £200 has been awarded to Sibyl Montague, for her work titled, 'Last Island'.  The People's Choice Prize has been kindly sponsored by Newtown Station Travel.
