David Fitzjohn

02 February 2013 - 17 April 2013

This exhibition showcases work by Cardiff-based artist David Fitzjohn. A series of suspended paper cuts evoke the sense of a woodland environment, which is simultaneously familiar and peculiar. Exploring our natural wilderness and its fragile qualities, David's work references lost ideals whilst imagining an uncertain future.

David was selected in response to a call for artists on the idea of Tall Tales. A tall tale is one with unreliable elements expounded as if they were true. These stories can be exaggerations of particular acts or courses of events: historical, familial or personal.
