Oriel Davies invites children and their families to take part in creative activities and workshops on Saturday mornings in The Kitchen, our pop-up project and event space.

Fun & Games in The Kitchen

Saturday 06 January | 10.30am – 12.30pm | All ages | FREE | Drop-in

A morning of food themed games and activities in The Kitchen, from play dough spaghetti and grocery store bingo to tin-can bowling.

Participants are welcome to bring in their favorite board and card games to play with others.

Kitchen Scraps | Sufea Mohamad Noor

Saturday 13 January | 10.30am – 12.30pm | age 3+ | FREE (booking recommended)

Using kitchen objects such as rolling pins, sponges and strings together with fruit and vegetables, participants will create patterns and print onto fabrics to create tablecloths, table runners and napkins.

Magnetic Moments | Amy Sterly

Artist in Residence, Amy Sterly invites you make unique magnets for the fridge, or anywhere else made of metal. Create your own personal message or character to decorate your kitchen.

Magnified Worlds | Zoe Needle

Saturday 27 January | 10.30am – 12.30pm | ages 3+ | FREE (booking recommended)

A guided session where participants will use magnifying lenses to explore the tiny patterns and textures in everyday fruit and vegetables. The unique detail of these magnified worlds will be used as inspiration to create your own beautiful prints.
