Celebration event - Oriel Davies Open Writing Competition

Oriel Davies are thrilled to announce the winners of the Oriel Davies 2017 Open Writing Competition, which will be celebrated at  an event coming up on 24 February at the Gallery.

This time the competition invited writers to submit poetry and prose on the theme of Water.  

The judges, celebrated nature poet, Chris Kinsey and the Young People’s Laureate Wales, Sophie McKeand had an enjoyable yet tough challenge reading through the many entries to chose the winners, as well as those with special commendations.

Celebration event

The Poetry and Prose winners as well as many of those special commended will be coming together to celebrate the works at a special event at Oriel Davies.

This will take place on Saturday 24 February, 2.30-4pm, hosted by Chris Kinsey. Tickets £3  (free to competition entrants).
