Simon Whitehead

A retrospective and re-presentation of screen-based and performance artefacts from Simon Whitehead’s career, alongside a live, accumulative archive from the new commission Louphole. The Scenery is Very Wonderful. The Weather is Good.

On Wasting Energy + Steelworks Series
Adele Vye

Adele Vye’s work draws on myth, situation and place through responsive live and documented actions, captured on camera and referred to as ‘documented performance’. Clad
Steve Messam

A temporary ‘cladding’ of a building commissioned as part of Beyond Pattern. Steve Messam used sheep fleeces to reference the distinctive black and white markings of local sheep breeds and the colour and design of local vernacular architecture. By drawing together these two aspects, the artist makes us consider the role of local agriculture, architecture and aesthetics. more >

Beyond Pattern
Various Artists

An exploration into the cultural meanings of ‘pattern’, through exhibition, commission, publication and debate, with work that utilises ‘pattern’ as a social, cultural and political commentator. With new commissions by Steve Messam, Catherine Bertola and Angharad Pearce-Jones and work by Michael Brennand-Wood, Nisha Duggal, Leo Fitzmaurice, Doug Jones, Adam King, Pamela So, Henna Nadeem and Andrea Stokes. more >
