Group Exhibition

Within the field of the Art & Design, this is defined as a series of creative actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end, whatever the chosen discipline; Fine Art, 3D Design, Fashion, Textiles, Photography, Graphics etc. The creative process itself has many benefits. As well as developing the ability to externally manipulate materials, there is also an internal creative process taking place developing researching, thinking and analytical skills. These areas of skills development underpin many of the activities learners engage in while studying at Newtown College in the Art & Design Department. more >

March 2019 is a very special time for a group of talented young artists in North Powys, with two exhibitions of work by past and current Criw Celf participants taking take place at Oriel Davies. Sophie Kumar-Taylor

Flexuous is a specially commissioned artwork by Sophie Kumar-Taylor. This Criw Celf commission celebrates Sophie's accomplishments as an early career artist and provides her with an opportunity to create a site-specific piece at Oriel Davies, the largest and most significant visual arts venue in the region, and a key gallery of Wales. more >
